At Dropps, we believe that sustainability is a journey, not an end state. We are constantly taking steps to lighten our load on the environment, and reduce greenhouse gases associated with our normal business operations.  We are thrilled to announce that we are now offering carbon neutral shipping through our purchase of carbon offsets to cover our direct and indirect carbon emission.

At Dropps, we believe that sustainability is a journey, not an end state. We are constantly taking steps to lighten our load on the environment and reduce greenhouse gases associated with our normal business operations.  We are thrilled to share that we provide carbon neutral shipping on all of our orders.

What Does it Mean to be Carbon Neutral?

Carbon Neutrality is a state of net-zero carbon dioxide emissions. Any carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is balanced by an equivalent amount being removed. As a result, we are not hurting the environment by adding additional dangerous greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.

How Does Carbon Neutral Shipping Work?

We maintain our Carbon Neutral shipping by purchasing Carbon Offsets. A carbon offset is a scientifically quantified reduction in greenhouse gas emissions created when one metric ton of greenhouse gas is captured, avoided or destroyed in order to compensate for an equivalent emission made. Carbon offsets enable organizations like ours to reduce our environmental impact by supporting projects that are actively working to reduce, absorb or prevent carbon and other emissions from entering the atmosphere.

How Does Dropps Provide Carbon-Neutral Shipping?

Dropps has partnered with Clearloop to expand access to clean energy by funding the construction of new solar projects. Our support is expanding access to homes in Jackson, TN. With our investment, these homes will have clean energy for the next 40 years. This project offsets the carbon created by shipping all of our products, as well as the electricity used by our employees working from home in 2021! By building 50 new solar panels, we were able to reclaim 1.3 million pounds of carbon.  Here at Dropps, we aim to create products that are good for your laundry, your family, and the earth. This is just one of the ways that we hold ourselves to that mission.
